Nars Danmari Blush Palette

Hello everyone! Today I am going to review the highly popular Nars Danmari All About Cheek Palette. This palette did not live up to the hype, in my opinion. I wish they would have included some different shades of blushes or just made it more unique. The blushes that are included in this palette are:
Hungry Heart Duo
Casino
Orgasm
Super orgasm
Desire
Sin

This palette comes with a bronzer, casino, which would be nice if it was a matte bronzer. It comes with a highlight color, hungry heart, which is just terrible, in my opinion. These two shades should be replaced with Laguna as the bronzer and Albatross as the highlighter. Most everyone loves those colors.

Getting to the actual blush part, their choices of blushes leave little to be desired. Orgasm is a great choice. It is a coral pink color with a little bit of underlying gold shimmer which looks lovely on the cheeks. Super Orgasm on the other hand is terrible. The color itself is beautiful, but the color gets destroyed by huge chunks of golden glitter. Not shimmer, glitter. When you use this blush, you end up getting glitter all over your face. Not pretty. If you love that look, this blush would be perfect for you. Desire leaves a lot to be desired. It is a bright (and I mean bright) hot pink color. If you use a light hand, it can give a perfect flush to the face, but if used wrongly, you will end up looking like a clown. If you love this color, Pink Passion by Elf would be a much cheaper alternative. The elf blush only cost you around $3.00. Last but not least, Sin is a deep, mauve, color that is probably the second best option in this palette. Sin has very little golden underlying shimmer that gives your a face a warm feel.

This palette cost around $65 dollars -!: sad to say that I would NOT repurchase this palette. It is a great travel essential if you are a Nars blush fanatic. If you own a lot of Nars blushes and you have thought about trying this, please do not. It is a waste of money.

You can find dupes for this color as I have given an example in my review. Eyeslipsface.com is a great place to find blushes that are around $3 and can get a close color match to some Nars Blushes. I love Nars blush, but this palette is just not cutting it.

If you own this palette, let me know how you like it (or do not like it) in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Pencils

Hello everyone. Today I will be reviewing some products from one of my favorite brands of all time. Tarte is an amazing brand. The Tarte LipSurgence pencils are amazing. The colors that I own are Glitzy, Sweet, Dazzled, Swank, Perky, Flashy, and Glisten. I adore these. When you put these on your lips, to me, they have a peppermint-y feel to them. They do not smell like peppermint. They smell just like the average lipstick but the color payoff is amazing and the best part is you do not have to sharpen them. You just twist the bottom and it dispenses more product and if you are anything like me, you will enjoy this.

The Tarte LipSurgence Pencils kind of feel like they plump my lips a little but it is nothing overly noticeable. The only negative thing that I have to say about these would have to be the wear. They do not last all day, but it is to be expected in most products. Some have glitter in them, but it is more like an underlying shimmer. Very fine glitter that adds to the color of the lip pencils. You can use these as a liner or a lipstick and they give a sheen to your lips. There are some matte shades as well. I got around 5 of mine in a kit for $36 or so dollars but individually, they sell for around $24 each. To be considered a lip stain, they do not stain your lips or last all day, but otherwise I would pay the money for them. I would not buy them all individually, but of you can find a set with some of these pencils in it or a kit with them together, I would most definitely purchase.

If you have tried these LipSurgence pencils from Tarte, let me know what you think about them or if you are going to try some for yourself. I love to hear your feedback.

Revlon Lip Butters

Hello everyone. Today I will be reviewing Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I know I have heard a lot of hype about these and I have been using them for a while. They are definitely worth the hype. These lip butters are so creamy. As you can tell in the swatches below they are super pigmented, at least the ones I have. When I did these swatches I just did one slide of the lip butter on my arm and I got tremendous color payoff.

The price range for these lip butters are around $5-$6 dollars a piece but they are totally worth it. I plan on getting the rest of the collection because I love them that much.

The Revlon Lip Butters are like a lip butter, lipstick, and lip gloss all in one. If you are one of those people that do not like carrying a lot of makeup around with you, I would definitely pick some of these up. You can find them pretty much anywhere. They make your lips feel super soft and very moisturized. The tutti frutti is going to get a lot of use now that it is spring for a nice pop of color to the lips.

If you try these, please let me know what your opinions are on them and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wet N Wild Palette in Comfort Zone

Hello everyone. Today I will be reviewing the Wet N' Wild Palette in Comfort Zone. This is a wonderful, inexpensive palette that you can achieve many beautiful looks. This is more of an earthy tone palette.

If you are new into makeup or do not want to spend a lot of money experimenting with makeup this is the palette for you. This palette tells you where to put the colors on your eye but you can also use them the way you want to use them. If you do not like shimmer colors on your eyes, this is not the palette for you. The colors are not extremely shimmery but they do have shimmer, especially the definer colors (bottom two) that are used on the outer corner of your eyes.

I have two problems with this palette. One, there is fallout. Make sure when you are using these colors to tap off your brush before applying to your eyes so you do not paint your face. Second, the brow bone colors. One is not pigmented enough for my taste. As you can see in the swatch, the first color you can barley see and I rubbed hard into the product to even get that good of a swatch. The second brow bone color is not a brow bone color in my opinion. The color you are supposed to use under your brow bone is supposed to highlight your eyes. In the swatch below, the fifth color swatched, is supposed to be a brow bone color. To me, this color is best used on the lid. Those two things are the only complaints I really have about this palette.

Price wise, I paid $5 for a palette with great payoff for the most part and it was easy to find. Believe it or not, I bought this at the local Dollar General in town when I was browsing for some other items but I'm sure you can find it at any local drugstore.

I hope you enjoyed this review and I would most definitely recommend this product if you love the "earthy" look.

Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural

Today I am going to talk to you about one of my most favorite and must have makeup products. The Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. It is such a wonderful product especially if you are on the go or do not want to wear a lot of makeup on your face.

This product can be used as a touch up product, a mineralized foundation, a foundation setter and so much more. I put this on after I use my foundation to set it and it makes my makeup look flawless all throughout the day. When I use it to touch up my makeup during the day, it never makes my makeup look cakey.

Another way to use this product is to take a synthetic brush, spray it with water or Mac's Fix + and use this product wet, as a foundation. The Skinfinish is a mineralized product so when it dries the product will go back to normal and not get that hard film on the top like a normal powder would. It makes your foundation look flawless when used wet.

This product is a little pricey. I think it runs around $28.00 but I use mine everyday and it last me well over six months before I have to repurchase another. This is a staple product in my makeup routine and I hope it becomes one in yours. My color is medium and I have very fair skin but it does not come off as a dark, harsh color. It warms up my face just enough to make me not look so much like a ghost. (ha ha).

If you have a Mac store or counter near you, they will help you determine which color is right for you. I hope you try out the mineralized Skinfinish from Mac and let me know what you think about it. If you have any tutorials or reviews you would like me to try, please feel free to e-mail me or post in the comments and I will be glad to do them for you. Have a wonderful day.
